Live photos and a video of the upcoming Google Pixel 9 in Peony Pink have surfaced online, this time from a new source in Algeria. For some reason, a unit of the new phone, or perhaps just a dummy, was available for people to handle and film. The video has provided enthusiasts with a closer look at the much-anticipated device.
The Peony Pink color, inspired by the flower, is a fresh addition to the Pixel lineup. The unit featured in the video boasts 256GB of storage, suggesting that it might be a real device rather than just a mock-up. Previous leaks have indicated that this model should also have 12GB of RAM, an upgrade from the standard 8GB seen in previous vanilla series models. Additionally, the Pixel 9 will be powered by the new Tensor G4 chipset, promising enhanced performance.
Poster Hani Mohamed Bioud, who shared the video, has hinted at more information to come soon. The video shows the vanilla model of the Pixel 9, identified by the “visor” bump that houses only two cameras. This year’s lineup will also include a smaller Pixel 9 Pro with three cameras, including a potential 5x periscope lens. The vanilla Pixel 9 is expected to feature a 6.24” display, while the Pro model will have a slightly larger 6.34” screen. There are also plans for a Pro XL version with a 6.73” display. The design of the vanilla model aligns with the renders that surfaced in March.
