Honor has officially announced the global rollout of its innovative AI-based eye-tracking feature, which will be available starting August 27. This cutting-edge technology, previously exclusive to China, will now be accessible worldwide through MagicOS 8.0, including on the Honor Magic6 Pro. The eye-tracking feature allows users to control their smartphones using just their eyes, making it possible to open notifications, launch apps, and even perform complex tasks with simple eye movements.
In addition to this groundbreaking feature, Honor is also exploring further advancements in multimodal AI technology. The company is currently developing non-invasive brain-computer interface (BCI) technology, aiming to make assistive tech more accessible to those with disabilities or anyone requiring additional support. Honor’s BCI tech enables communication with external devices through brain electrical signals, providing a new level of interaction and independence for users.
A recent short film by BBC Storyworks showcases the real-world impact of Honor’s eye-tracking technology. The film features a person diagnosed with ALS 14 years ago, who now uses this advanced tech to communicate and create artwork, highlighting its potential to transform lives.
