Apple has officially announced the iPhone 16 series, but as usual, it kept the exact battery capacities under wraps. Thanks to Brazilian regulator Anatel, we now have the confirmed battery sizes for the iPhone 16 family. The iPhone 16 features a 3,561 mAh battery, a 6.3% improvement over its predecessor. The iPhone 16 Plus comes with a 4,674 mAh battery, marking a 6.6% increase. The iPhone 16 Pro, with a 3,582 mAh battery, boasts a 9.4% boost compared to last year’s model, and the iPhone 16 Pro Max is equipped with a 4,685 mAh cell, a 5.5% rise from the iPhone 15 Pro Max.
Among these, the iPhone 16 Pro takes the crown with the most significant battery increase. However, all models show notable enhancements in longevity, thanks to the powerful A18 and A18 Pro chips, alongside thermal design improvements. Even with modest capacity bumps, these changes lead to better battery life than the previous generation.
Additionally, all models support faster 25W MagSafe charging when paired with Apple’s latest MagSafe chargers and a 30W power adapter. The iPhone 16 series also supports up to 45W charging via USB-C.
The iPhone 16, 16 Plus, 16 Pro, and 16 Pro Max are available starting today worldwide.
