Today, Nothing introduced its first smartphone under the affordable CMF brand, the CMF Phone 1. Featuring a user-swappable back panel, the CMF Phone 1 is powered by a Mediatek 7300 chipset, ensuring a smooth performance.
The CMF Phone 1 sports a 6.67″ Super AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution, offering up to 2,000 nits peak brightness, 120 Hz refresh rate, and 240 Hz touch sampling rate. The front features a 16 MP selfie camera in a punch hole and an under-display fingerprint scanner.
On the back, the phone boasts a 50 MP f/1.8 main camera and a 2 MP depth sensor. The design-centric Phone 1 allows users to attach various accessories to the mounting point on the back panel, which is also replaceable for color changes or repairs, potentially extending the device’s lifespan.
Running on Nothing OS 2.6 and Android 14, the CMF Phone 1 includes personalization features like the AI Wallpaper Generator. The device will receive 2 years of major Android updates and 3 years of security updates.
The phone is equipped with a 5,000 mAh battery supporting 33W wired charging and 5W reverse wired charging, though it lacks wireless charging. It is IPX2 certified for water resistance, capable of withstanding dripping water and brief submersion in testing.
Available starting at INR15,999 for the 6/128 GB version exclusive to India, the Phone 1 also comes in 8/128 GB and 8/256 GB options, priced at INR17,999/£209/€239 and £239/€279, respectively. The 8/128 GB model is shipping from July 12 in Black, with the Green variant and the 8/256 GB model available from July 23.
Color options include Black, Orange, Blue, and Green. A new rear panel costs £29, while additional accessories like a stand, lanyard, or card case, each priced at £19, can be attached to the phone.
