Vivo’s Vice President Jia Jingdong took to Weibo to tease the highly anticipated Vivo X200 series, highlighting the upcoming Vivo X200 Pro’s 200MP periscope camera and revealing exciting features. The post shared images of the Vivo X200 Pro and X200 Pro mini, displaying their full color palettes and new flat design, which Vivo calls a “full-depth micro-quadruple design.”
While the regular X200 was not mentioned, it is expected to follow the same design language as its Pro counterparts. The entire series will be powered by the Dimensity 9400 chipset, ensuring a performance boost. The new chipset supports an AI model capable of handling 3 billion operations, enhancing everyday tasks.
Vivo’s X200 series also brings a significant leap in battery technology. The VP confirmed that the X200 series features improved semi-solid battery technology with the highest energy density in the industry, offering users longer battery life.
When it comes to cameras, the X200 Pro and X200 Pro mini will feature the co-developed Sony LYT-818 sensor (1/1.28”) and the V3+ imaging chip, previously used in the X100 Ultra. The X200 Pro will also inherit the 200MP periscope camera (85mm f/2.67) from the X100 Ultra, while the X200 Pro mini will include a 70mm f/2.57 periscope lens.
For video enthusiasts, the X200 Pro series will support 4K slow-motion video at 120fps and a unique “4K backlit movie portrait video” mode, delivering enhanced exposure control, even in backlit conditions. The X200 Pro will also offer 10-bit Vivo Log video recording, allowing for more accurate color grading in post-production.
The X200 series is set to launch on October 14, and Vivo fans are eagerly awaiting the next generation of smartphone innovation.
