Xiaomi’s Redmi has unveiled the much-anticipated Redmi 13 5G featuring the powerful Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 AE (Accelerated Engine) SoC, following last month’s launch of the Helio G91-powered Redmi 13 4G. The new Redmi 13 5G runs on Android 14-based HyperOS, offering up to 8GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage, expandable to 1TB via microSD.
The device boasts a 6.79″ FullHD+ 120Hz LCD with 550 nits peak brightness, Gorilla Glass 3 protection, and wet touch support. A 13MP selfie camera sits within the punch-hole display.
On the rear, the Redmi 13 5G is equipped with a 108MP Samsung ISOCELL HM6 sensor as the primary camera and a 2MP macro unit. The sleek design includes a glass panel with two camera circles and one for the ring flash.
Powering the device is a robust 5,030 mAh battery with 33W charging. Xiaomi claims the included 33W adapter can charge the battery to 50% in just 30 minutes. Other features include a USB-C port, 3.5mm headphone jack, IR Blaster, IP53 rating, and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
The Redmi 13 5G will be available in Hawaiian Blue, Orchid Pink, and Black Diamond. It offers two memory configurations: 6GB/128GB priced at INR13,999 ($170/€155) and 8GB/128GB priced at INR15,499 ($185/€170). Sales begin on July 12 through Xiaomi’s Indian website, Amazon.in, and retail stores.
